Fostering peace in THE Niger DELTA

About us

The Niger Delta Peoples Movement (NDPM) is a non-governmental organization poised to bring positive change to the people of the Niger Delta Region of Nigeria through selfless service, dedicated to advocating for the rights and well-being of indigenous communities in the Region. NDPM works towards fostering sustainable development, environmental protection, and defense of human rights for marginalized and vulnerable populations within the region. NDPM’s experience with defending Human Rights (HR) of Marginalized Indigenous Peoples (MIP) has been a challenging one especially those affected by extractive industries because of the big oil and gas companies involved and corrupt politicians. We are actively engaged in initiatives aimed at addressing the challenges faced by indigenous communities due to the impact of extractive activities on our lands, livelihoods, and overall well-being.

The Charter also called THE LONDON DECLARATION covers the WHOLE of the NIGER DELTA REGION, which we proclaim SONGHAI, an ancient Kingdom in the West Coast of Africa. If the various nationalities in the North America colonies have made The UNITED STATES of AMERICA a dream come true, why can’t we the oppressed indigenous people of the NIGER DELTA? We have even a stronger case. Let us take our DESTINY in our hands like Namibia, Zimbabwe, Bosnia, Kosovo, and even the East Timor. Let a candid and fair-minded World not sit idly and see us destroy ourselves as in Sierra-Leon, Rwanda or Zaire (the republic of Congo). The USA, EU, Britain, China, Canada, and Australia etc, should use their influence to assist us work against our CORRUPT LEADERSHIP who loot our resources and put our people in abject poverty and squalor, encourage and breed Jihadist terrorists with the resources from The Niger Delta, and foreign Aid, OR they help us part in peace to avoid another human tragedy which is lurking a

We are registered in Nigeria as New Canaan Environmental Development Organization (NCEDO) because the federal government’s Corporate Affairs Commission refused to register Niger Delta Peoples Movement (NDPM).
