Niger Delta Songi
Fostering peace in THE Niger DELTA

About us

The Niger Delta Peoples Movement (NDPM) is a non-governmental organization poised to bring positive change to the people of the Niger Delta Region of Nigeria through selfless service, dedicated to advocating for the rights and well-being of indigenous communities in the Region. NDPM works towards fostering sustainable development, environmental protection, and defense of human rights for marginalized and vulnerable populations within the region. NDPM’s experience with defending Human Rights (HR) of Marginalized Indigenous Peoples (MIP) has been a challenging one especially those affected by extractive industries because of the big oil and gas companies involved and corrupt politicians. We are actively engaged in initiatives aimed at addressing the challenges faced by indigenous communities due to the impact of extractive activities on our lands, livelihoods, and overall well-being.
